You can use the console to add, tweak, and replace elements of your game, including your mini-map, your HUD, and more. Knowledge is key in CS so you should check out our guide to find out everything you can customize ingame.

The game can access both maps in mounted VPKs and in the maps\ folder. Maps that are in a subdirectory of maps\ need to have the folder name included in the console command.

First, fire up your game and hit the tilde key (~) to open the console (make sure it's enabled in your game settings). Then type 'map [map name]' and press Enter.
